Most Common Arguments of pseudo Liberals ..

The “liberals” of every age have been giving the same arguments in different forms. My friend Muhammad ali have shared them They `re good, and thus i`m sharing it here.

In the light of Quran, these arguments are as following :

1- Islam is old fashioned:
“Verily, this we have been promised, we and our fathers before! This is only the tales of the ancients!” (23:83)
“When Our Verses (of the Quran) are recited to him, he says: “Tales of the men of old!” (68:15)

2- Islam is only practiced by losers and dumb unintellectual extremists:
“So the chief of the disbelievers among them said: “…You are followed only by the weak and degraded people who do not think.” (11:27)

3- We want Enlightenment and not the stone age:
“Say: See ye? If Allah were to make the darkness perpetual over you till the Day of Judgment, what god is there other than Allah, who can give you enlightenment? Will ye not then hearken?” (28:71)
“This [Qur’an] is enlightenment for mankind and guidance and mercy for a people who are certain [in faith].” (45:20)
“There has come to you enlightenment from your Lord. So whoever will see does so for [the benefit of] his soul, and whoever is blind [does harm] against his soul.” (6:104)

4- Islam needs readjustment according to modern norms and way of life:
“They wish that you should compromise (in religion out of courtesy) with them, so they (too) would compromise with you (in return).” (68:9)

5- Do not drag Islam in every topic:
“And when Allah Alone is mentioned, the hearts of those who believe not in the Hereafter are filled with disgust and when those besides Him (other theories and personalities) are mentioned, behold, they rejoice!” (39:45)

6- Our lifestyles are backed by intellectuals and what we are doing is the actual Islam:
“And when they commit an immorality, they say, “We found our fathers (intellectuals) doing it, and Allah has ordered us to do it.” Say, “Indeed, Allah does not order immorality. Do you say about Allah that which you do not know?” (7:28)

7- Super powers are the ideal model and the ones to turn to and seek help and judgement:
“Do they then seek the judgement of Ignorance? And who is better in judgement than Allah for a people who have firm Faith..And you see those in whose hearts there is a disease (of hypocrisy), they hurry to their friendship, saying: “We fear lest some misfortune of a disaster may befall us.” Perhaps Allah may bring a victory or a decision according to His Will. Then they will become regretful for what they have been keeping as a secret in themselves.” (5:50-52)

8- Fear of loss of economy. “If we follow the Islam of mullahs, we would be left impoverished.”:
“They say: “If we were to follow the guidance with you, we should be snatched away from our land (economy).” (28:57)
“They said: “O Shu’aib! Does your Salat (prayer) command. . .that we leave off doing what we like with our property? Verily, you are the forbearer, right-minded!” (They said this sarcastically). (11:87)

‘The world is a prison for a believer and a paradise for the disbeliever’

Shaykh Muhammad bin Al Uthaymin, mentions a short story in his book, ” The Islamic Awakening”..he writes, Historians mention an interesting incident in the life of Hafiz Ibn Hajr- ( may Allah have mercy on him). He was the judge of Egypt during his era, and when he would go to his place of work, he would arrive in a carriage that was drawn by horses or mules in a procession. One day, he passed by a jew who was a seller of oil, and it was common for a seller of oil to wear dirty clothes. The Jew halted the process and said to Ibn Hajr (may Allah have mercy on him), Indeed, your Prophet says :’ The world is a prison for a believer and a paradise for the disbeliever’. Yet you are the judge of judges of Egypt, in ease comfort and joy, enjoying a position . And here I`m, in this state of punishment and misery , how can this be? ”

In response to his question Al- Hafiz Ibn Hajr intelligently replied :” If this is the situation that I`m in a state of comfort and ease and you are in bad state, then my state here is the state that is like a prison compared to the ease and comfort of paradise. And the misery you are in is paradise when compared to the punishment of hellfire”.

His answer engraved this jewish man`s heart who then embraced Islam..

Sabr Required

Sabr is a deep concept. The word sabr which is generally translated into patience, doesn`t just mean patience, rather it also encompasses the meanings of determination, steadfastness and tolerance..

The Quranic matn of Surah Ar-Rad means the following :
“And those who remain ‘patient’, seeking their Lord’s Countenance, perform As-Salât (Iqâmat-as-Salât), and spend out of that which We have bestowed on them, secretly and openly, and defend evil with good, for such there is a good end; ‘Adn (Eden) Paradise (everlasting Gardens), which they shall enter and (also) those who acted righteously from among their fathers, and their wives, and their offspring. And angels shall enter unto them from every gate (saying): “Salâmun ‘Alaikum (peace be upon you) for that you persevered in ‘patience’! Excellent indeed is the final home!” (Surah Ar-Rad ch# 13 verse no 21-24).

In this set of verses, the significance of patience(Sabr) have been highly twice. Infact it won`t be wrong to say that it has been declared one key reason for gate way to paradise.. In  Surah Asar of the Glorious Quran, whilst telling about qualities of people who are not in loss ; one quality mentioned is that such  people enjoin upon each other sabr.

.. Sabr of patience and determination is generally classified into three types. 1. Sabr in times of trial, 2. Sabr in keep oneself away from sins.. 3. Sabr in being consistent in doing good deeds. .

The tool which helps one to do sabr in times of trials is given by Ibn Qayyim, he says: someone on whom difficulty falls, must think, about good aspects or outcomes of that difficulty. For instance, if we go ill, think of flowers people are bringing all along for you, their concern and love for u. Your mothers love and compassion and so on..

Secondly he says, the person whose facing the hardship should keep in his mind that like good times, bad times never last for ever, so things will get alright some day.  And lastly he should keep the reward of that hardship in terms of akhera in his mind.. For all the hardships eliminates our sins and raises our honor.

it`s also said that sometimes it easy to be patience in times of trials, such as illness, or other crisis like domestic violence, financial difficulty etc since there is no option left but to remain patient. However in such case the real test of a ‘Momin’ lies in being patience at the times of worldly boom. When the glory of world revolves around you, then it often take much more struggle to do sabr ( determination ) in following the true path. And keeping oneself away from sins.

To sum up all this, the truth is, Sabr is required everyone. Some people commits sins because they can`t be patient enough to enjoy life in akhera. Other people tend to go for unlawful earnings because of their lack of determination of earning money through lawful means, lack of patience at times of low income.. it`s a key reason of why we see people fighting on roads, people breaking traffic lights.. ‘ Sabr is just Required Everywhere ‘

finally this element of Patience is often required in learning deen too.. Those students who generally don`t learn patience in seeking ilm, go for haste which results in an absolute waste. They tend to start their Dawah from big stages chasing their dreams, ‘ which actually they are never capable of doing’ .Rather going step wise. slowly and gradually. This was a little about the sabr i could write.

May Allah enable us to be patient, and persistent.. for Allah love those who are patient.

Shaykh Saeed Bin Ahmed Al Lootah summarizes the Issues of Pakistan..

My facebook friend Yameenuddin Ahmed, is a senior consultant at Timelenders, today he met a shiekh. This following is what he writes :

” I am in Dubai and today I met with one of the founding visionaries of UAE, Haj Saeed Bin Ahmed Al Lootah, the chairman of S. S. Lootah Group.

Masha’Allah, he is over 90 years of age and his health and fitness is great Masha’Allah. It was inspiring to see him active in office, attending meetings, advising his employees, treating them like his children, receiving phone calls, having multi-billion $ businesses and he can afford any luxury he wants………But, his lifestyle is so simple and personality is so humble that I feel ashamed on how many of us show off and deal with people.

He speaks Arabic and Urdu, spent some time in Karachi and learnt Urdu. He asked me where I am from, to which I replied “Pakistan”. then he smiled said, “Pak means pure, khalis, naik and istan means “land, zameen”. So it is “Pak logon ki zameen” or “naik logon ki zameen”, Isn’t it? he asked me. I said, “Yes”, it is.

“But where is our ‘Pakistan’ my son? It is “Kharabistan” now. You people have made a mess out of this beautiful country.” Woh mujh per phat paray…….saaf mehsoos hua keh Sheikh ko Pakistan ke halaat per shadeed dukh hai, I felt the warmth and love that he has for Pakistan.

“You, a common Pakistani is 100% responsible for your situation and it will not be changed unless Pakistanis will change. None of your political groups can change the situation unless you invest in people’s tarbiyah.”

“Secondly, your Ulemas are responsible as majority of them are not playing active part in country’s development and tarbiyah on the mass scale.”

The last statement he said to me: “Pakistan have lost its purpose and something that loses its purpose will not remain for too long, but Allah (SWT) is very kind. He gives us opportunities to get back to the actual purpose, but if you do not come to that purpose, then Allah decides and this is Allah’s Sunnah. I always pray for Pakistan, but unable to see the justuju in masses to come back to the original purpose for which Pakistan was created.”

He is a wise man and in one hour, he gave me so much to think and reflect today….
